Deena Kastor, Olympic Marathon Bronze medalist and winner of the Chicago and London marathons, invites you to stay at her beautiful mountain retreat (as featured in Runner's World – Aug. 2009). Upon request, running enthusiasts will receive an autographed poster and maps of Deena’s favorite runs in Mammoth.
Located along the 5th fairway of California’s highest elevation golf course and nestled in a Jeffrey Pine tree forest, the Woodwinds completed construction at the end of 2007. The first floor greets you with a private entry and bedroom with big, comfortable bunk bed (full size lower mattress with twin above), bathroom, laundry, attached garage and private spa. Just up the stairs, the second level presents the incredible gourmet kitchen featuring top-quality modern, stainless steel appliances, living room (with queen sleeper sofa), deck with gas BBQ, bedroom (furnished with a full bed) and a full bathroom. Perched on the third level, the master bedroom features a large and luxurious king bed, bathroom (with Jacuzzi-tub and separate shower). The unit features heated floors throughout, flat screen TV’s, additional covered guest parking, as well as easy access to the area’s amenities including The Village at Mammoth, Mammoth Mountain Ski Area, Sierra Star Golf Course, mountain biking, running, hiking, fishing and shopping.
